Recruitment Consultant Duties

Main job duty of a recruitment consultant is to get good talents from the market and fit them as per the requirement of the companies or his client. You will have to get good candidates from the level of entry level jobs to the post of directors. You will have to work in close coordination with the client companies and understand their recruitment need quite well.

Job Duties of a Recruitment Consultant

  • He will have to build relationships with the clients and develop a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment.
  • He will have to advertising vacancies appropriately by drafting and placing adverts in a wide range of media (e.g., newspapers, websites, magazines).
  • He is expected to do good headhunting – identifying and approaching suitable candidates.
  • He must complete a search of the candidate database to find the right person for the employer’s vacancy.
  • He must be receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and short-listing candidates.
  • He will be requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the employer.
  • Before the interview, it is his job duty to brief the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question.
