Landscape Architect Job Duties include designing the gardens, playgrounds, college campuses, shopping complexes and even the residential areas. They design these places to enhance their beauty. In order to get into this position one must have a degree in Landscape Architecture; having a relevant work experience serves as an added advantage.

Landscape Architect Job Duties

  • Landscape Architects’ job is to beautify parks, playgrounds and other public places as well as residential areas
  • They are involved in the arrangements of plants, trees and shrubs by the roadside, in walkways and buildings in order to enhance their beauty
  • They are also involved in the renovation of various natural places including stream corridors, wetlands and forested land that get destructed by various means
  • Landscape Architects’ work in coordination with the architects and engineers in order to perform their duties appropriately
  • They also conduct surveys to know the public opinion about the designs prepared by them. This helps the landscape architects decide as to which design is popular and should be applied
  • They are also required to seek suggestions from the environmental scientists and foresters at the time of planning a project. This is done so that they can make the best possible use of the natural resources without providing any harm to these resources
  • Landscape Architects are required to consult the clients to work on setting the budget for enhancing the beauty of vegetation, walkways, etc
  • They need to assess the natural elements such as soil, land, weather, etc at the site before starting with the project
