An inventory manager is responsible for monitoring the available supplies, materials as well as products in order to ensure that the employees and the customers have access to the product they need. Inventory managers work in a large corporate organization, small firm as well as in a retail store. They also have to prepare reports or documents stating the stock available and the products that are required to maintain the stock.   • Inventory manager has to ensure the prescribed budget of the inventory is maintained and the supplies ordered do not exceed the budget.
  • Inventory manager has to use various mathematical models in order to forecast the need of future stock.
  • Inventory manager has to lead a team of inventory or warehouse workers in order to receive new stock and record details as they come in.
  • Inventory manager has to conduct interview and hire new employees for the inventory department.
  • Inventory manager has to create schedules for reference of the employees in the inventory department.
  • Inventory manager has to check the best possible price at which a certain supply is available in the market and place order accordingly.
