Banquet Manager Duties
As the banquet Manager of a hotel, you will be specifically responsible for supervising the set up and cleaning up of the function rooms. You will also have to do the hiring, scheduling, and training of all banquet staff and arrange regular monthly meetings. Your major job duty will be to supervise staff performance, defining performance requirements, and develop action plans for achievement of goals.
Job Duties of a Banquet Manager
- Since you are the banquet manager, one of your major job duties will be providing courteous and prompt efficient food and beverage and see that the audiovisual services are working perfectly.
- Another major duty of the banquet manager is to supervise the combination of following functions. They are ordering supplies and linens for functions from Purchasing and Housekeeping departments, separating, posting, and distributing event order sheets, and assisting servers and captains with the execution of events according to the event order and quality standards.
- One of your major job duties will be to participate in departmental meetings and must know in details of the incentive programs.
- You must also be able to know how to handle all customer concerns and solve all issues related to customer complaints. It will be your duty to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
