Auditor Duties

An auditor is someone who makes an official examination and analysis of the accounts of a business or a firm or organization to determine the financial status of any of such mentioned. The auditor may also perform specific duties as required by the company or organization he or she may be working for or according to the working contract he or she may have signed.

Auditor Job Duties

  • Conduct surprise count of actual cash on hand
  • Inspect notes receivables and payable, trial balances and other accounting and important documents upon examination and authentication of inventory items
  • Prepare reports for the management on the scope of audit, financial conditions, source and application of funds and make recommendation thereon
  • Review tax audit
  • Report to the management if the company of audit results
  • Suggest changes in financial activities and operations of the company, if there‚Äôs a need to
  • (May) Collect and analyze data to find out any fraud, violation of laws and company regulations policies, and duplication, if any
